After its biggest win of the season, Real Madrid faces its most embarrassing defeat on Wednesday at their home, and the pressure is back on for coach Zinedine Zidane and his players.

After a series of poor results, Madrid thrashed Deportivo La Coruna by 7-1 to give fans a glimmer of hope.
But few days after a big win, Real Madrid crashed out of the Copa del Rey with a shock 2-1 loss to Leganes at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Real’s coach Zinedine Zidane took full responsibility for the loss and said “I am responsible for all of this. It’s a failure for me”.

Zidane accepted his fate will be decided by February’s Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain.

Zidane recalled Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema where Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale were rested, this might be a reason that gave Leganes a 2-1 victory.

Real held a 1-0 advantage from the first leg but they were outplayed by a team lying 13th in La Liga.

Marco Asensio’s strike gave Madrid a 1-0 advantage in the first leg, but Javier Eraso got Leganes back on level terms and set the tone for a memorable cup tie.
