Chelsea’s defender Antonio Ruediger gave a helping hand to Arsenal goals in the semifinal meeting of London rivals.
Eden Hazard opened the account for the Chelsea earlier in the 7th minute, but Arsenal quickly fought back.

Wenger’s side instead impressively beat Manchester City 2-1 after extra-time with all the qualities you would normally identify with a Pep Guardiola team

They leveled five minutes later through an Antonio Rudiger’s own goal.

Nacho Monreal’s free header from a corner passed the heads of Chelsea duo Marcos Alonso and Ruediger before flying into the net in the 12th minute.

Arsenal took the lead on the hour when Alexandre Lacazette’s cross was inadvertently diverted by Ruediger into the path of Granit Xhaka, who poked the ball past goalkeeper Willy Caballero.

A recovery rarely looked on the cards from a disjointed Chelsea side in a derby that exposed the visitor’s shortages in the squad.

Now Arsenal will face Manchester City in the League Cup final.
