The 2025 FIFA U17 World Cup was the 20th edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, hosted in Qatar. Qatar has become a significant hub for the FIFA tournament and is now the fourth big opportunity to hold another FIFA tournament after the 2020 FIFA Club World Cup, 2022 FIFA World Cup, and 2024 FIFA Intercontinental Cup. The tournament held from November 5 to November 27, 2025.

In Addition, the tournament have involve 48 teams for the first time after the 2023 FIFA U17 World Cup in Indonesia. On 15 November 2023, the FIFA Council selected Qatar as the host nation after winning the bid for the U17 World Cup.

Germany entered as a defending champion but eliminated in the round of 32. Portugal won their first World cup title of the FIFA U-17 World Cup after achieving a dramatic victory over Austria and penalty shootout during the semifinals against Brazil.

As part of its agreement with FIFA, Qatar will also host the next four editions (2026–2029), making it the first country to stage five consecutive U-17 World Cups.

Cesc Fabregas (Spain), Kelechi Iheanacho (Nigeria), Toni Kroos (Germany), Victor Osimhen (Nigeria), and Phil Foden (England) are among the star players from previous editions who have represented the tournament for their National team and won the Golden Ball.
