The African qualification or CAF 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers have begun from 4 September 2019 to March 2022 The team is a member of the Confederation of African Football(CAF). This qualification is only for the African Confederation. There are a total of 5 slots in the final tournament available for CAF teams.
In CAF there are 54 FIFA-affiliated football associations that entered qualification. For qualification in the first round, they will use the FIFA World Ranking of 2019 which will determine which nation will compete in the first round. And for the second the third draws they will use the FIFA World Cup ranking for the most recent time.
