In order to make sure a fair and safe allocation of Tickets, the standard procedure for Ticket allocation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia has been divided into 3 phases.
FIFA has sold 742,760 tickets during the first round of sales for the 2018 World Cup, even before the finals draw took place. The majority of ticket applications came from the host country, Russia, while 47% were submitted from other countries.
The top ten countries with the most ticket requests are the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Israel, Argentina, Germany, China, England, and Australia.
FIFA’s head of ticketing, Falk Eller, stated, “We are very pleased with the results from the first sales phase.”
A total of 2.5 million tickets will be made available for the 64 matches played in 12 different grounds located in 11 Russian cities.
