The 124th staging of the Copa del Rey is held in Spain. 2025-26 Copa del Rey is the current season of the Copa del Rey. The tournament started on 27 September 2025, and La Cartuja in Seville has been selected for the 2026 Copa del Rey final in April 2026.
In the preliminary round of the 2026 Copa del Rey draw, dated 16 September 2025, a total of 10 fixtures have been scheduled between 125 clubs, with 115 clubs advancing to the first round of the tournament.
The first round was played by 112 of the 116 qualified teams, with 56 matches held between 28–30 October 2025; winners progressed into the later single-match rounds as per the RFEF format changes announced for 2025–26.
The knockout phase features a 32-team Round of 32 (matches kicked off in January 2026), followed by the Round of 16 and the quarterfinals. The competition’s structure kept single-leg ties in the early rounds with Supercopa teams separated into their own pot for the Round of 32 and Round of 16.
As of 12 February 2026, the tournament is in the semifinal stage. The four semi-finalists are Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Athletic Club (Athletic Bilbao) and Real Sociedad.

The other semi pair saw Atlético host Barcelona in the opening leg at the Metropolitano on Feb 12; second legs will be played at the respective home grounds (Camp Nou / Anoeta) with the winners set to meet in the final.
The Copa del Rey final is scheduled for April 2026 and will be held at Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville, following the RFEF decision to host the next editions there. Note: the exact final date was adjusted in the calendar; confirm the final match date when you publish.
