2025-26 Ligue 1 - French Ligue 1 Standings & Points Table

The new season of the French Football Tournament 2025-26 Ligue 1 is organised by the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP). The 2025-26 Ligue 1, also known as Ligue 1 McDonald’s, marks the 88th season of the French Ligue 1 tournament.

The top of the French football league system, French Ligue 1, is one of the top five leagues in the Most Entertaining Leagues in Football. Paris Saint-Germain (13 titles) is one of the most successful teams in the French Ligue 1 and has been the champion for four consecutive seasons.

They are also the defending Champions League winners, having claimed their first UEFA Champions League title in May 2025 and runner-up of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

Lorient, Paris FC, and Metz moved up from the 2024-25 Ligue 2, while Montpellier, Saint-Étienne, and Reims won’t be in the mix this season.

The tournament features 18 teams, with 17 from French clubs and one from Monaco. Right now, PSG stands out as the most successful team in France’s Ligue 1. Known as one of the top national leagues, Ligue 1 holds the 5th spot in Europe, just behind the English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, and the Bundesliga.

Paris Saint-Germain FC (PSG) have won a record 13 Ligue 1 titles, showcasing its dominance in the league. Luis Enrique leads PSG as manager after guiding them to an unprecedented treble in the 2024-25 season, including their maiden Champions League triumph.

The 2025-26 Ligue 1 season begins on August 15, 2025 and concludes on May 16, 2026.
