The FIFA Federation is organising the two biggest Soccer World Cups – the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and the 2026 FIFA Club World Cup. The 2025 Club World Cup is the first edition of the new expanded format of the Club World Cup. It is set to take place in the United States from June 14 to July 13, 2025. A total of 32 teams qualified from all six FIFA confederations will be divided into eight groups, labelled A to H, where each group contains four teams. The top two teams from each Points table group will advance to the knockout stage of the Club World Cup.
The draw took place in Miami on 5 December 2024, featuring a plethora of continental and domestic champions from every continent. Of the 32 teams, Europe (UEFA) has the most representation with 12 teams, followed by South America (CONMEBOL) with six teams and four teams each from Asia (AFC), Africa (CAF) & North, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF).
The opening match will kick off on Saturday, 14 June, with the clash between Messi’s Inter Miami CF and Egyptian side Al Ahly FC at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
