The 1962 FIFA World Cup was the seventh staging of the World Cup, the world championship for men’s national association football teams. This was held in Chile from May 30 to June 17, 1962.

Chile, officially known as the Republic of Chile, is a South American country that occupies a long, narrow strip of land between the Andes Mountains to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west.

In the first-round match, Chile defeated Italy 2–0, and in the final match, Brazil played against Czechoslovakia, winning 3–1.
