The 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) is known as AFCON 2025 or CAN 2025. The Africa Cup of Nations 2025 takes place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026. The Africa Cup of Nations tournament is organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The Current title champions team is Ivory Coast, who defeated Nigeria 2–1 in the 2023 final
The tournament is hosted by Morocco and due to 2025 FIFA Club World Cup tournament shifted from June to December. Twenty-four teams will play in six cities and nine venues. The qualified 24 teams are divided into six groups of four teams.
All the qualified teams from each group are going to play a single round-robin. On 27 September 2023, the CAF Executive Committee meeting selected Morocco as the official host of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025.

The Africa Cup of Nations has been held every 2nd year since 1968 and features the best national teams from across the continent. The Africa Cup of Nations draw in Morocco and the tournament will be held across six cities – Rabat, Casablanca, Tangier, Marrakesh, Agadir and Fez.
The group stage will feature six groups (A through F), each containing four teams. The teams will compete in a round-robin format, and the top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage. The Africa Cup of Nations 2025 Final match is scheduled for 18 January 2026 at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
