The 2018 FIFA News Rankings have been announced. Germany (1602 Points) is in the top, and Brazil (1483) and Portugal (1358) took the second and third spots, respectively. In the latest FIFA News Rankings, the Germany National Football Team is holding the top position, and the Brazil National Football Team is in Second place.
Germany is currently the world champion team after winning the 2014 World Cup trophy. FIFA organises the World Cup every 4 years. Last year, Germany replaced Brazil at the top of the FIFA rankings.
The FIFA Men’s World Ranking is a ranking system for men’s national teams in association football. All FIFA teams playing international soccer matches worldwide are ranked based on their performance and other factors using the FIFA points system.

Germany has risen to the top spot after beating the Czech Republic 2-1 and thrashing Norway 6-0 in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Argentina and Belgium took the fourth and Fifth ranking. Iceland (20, up 2) is the only team to enter the top 20, with the Netherlands (21, down 1) dropping out.
With just 22 international matches being played over the past month, there were not many changes in the ranking.
