The FIFA Men’s World Ranking, also known as the FIFA World Rankings List, is an official system used to evaluate the performance of national football teams across the globe.

Following the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and all current major international tournaments, the rankings have continued to evolve based on the outcomes of all international matches, including National Teams from UEFA, AFC, CAF, OFC, CONCACAF and CONMEBOL.

Argentina has reclaimed the number one spot in the live FIFA Men’s World Ranking, overtaking both France and Spain ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Spain national football team is currently ranked 2nd in the official FIFA Men’s World Rankings, sitting just behind Argentina.

France is currently ranked 3rd in the live FIFA World Rankings, having dropped behind Argentina and Spain. This slip follows a recent 2-1 friendly defeat to Ivory Coast, which resulted in a deduction of 7.89 points, while Spain’s recent draw led to the specific -3.38 point drop.

England sits in fourth place in the FIFA Men’s World Ranking, with Portugal, the reigning UEFA Nations League champions, close behind in fifth and Brazil right after in sixth.

In addition, several major international tournaments are scheduled after the June 2026 friendly fixtures, which will further influence the FIFA rankings and shape the global football landscape.
