2030 FIFA World Cup Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, & Uruguay Join Bid

Four South American countries to have joint-bid for 24th FIFA World Cup. Argentina, Chile, Paraguay & Uruguay plan to place a bid to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, it has been confirmed.

The join bid confirmation announced by Chile’s president Sebastian Pinera on the social media platform on 14 February. He wrote on social media “Uruguay bidding to host the tournament for the first time since the inaugural 1930 competition“.

Morocco, Spain, and Portugal have already signaled their intention for upcoming world cup host bid events. Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia and Romania have already joined.

Argentina last hosted the World Cup in 1978. After the World Cup of 1962, Chile will have a new opportunity. All South American countries agreed to present their joint candidacy to organize the 2030 World Cup, who has already hosted up to one time FIFA World cup host in past except Paraguay.

Everyone countries are looking to host the competition to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the inaugural FIFA World Cup, first FIFA World Cup organized was Uruguay in 1930 and Uruguay won the final match beat Argentina.
