The 20th edition of the 2025 South American U-17 Championship is known as CONMEBOL Sub 17 Colombia 2025. The tournaments have completed their Group stage match and advanced to the 2025 South American U-17 Championship Final stage, where 10 teams have qualified out of 10 teams.
The Youth football championship of South America was organised by CONMEBOL between 27 March to 12 April 2025. Estadio Jaraguay and Estadio Jaime Morón León are stadiums for the tournaments.
The top three teams in each group will advance to the final stage of the tournaments. All the teams are divided into 2 groups. In Group A, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, and Peru played Head-to-head matches. Peru is the only team which have lost every 4 matches. All the group A teams have won 2 matches, where Argentina and Chile leading the points table.
For the Group B standings, Brazil, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Uruguay are part of the table. Uruguay is the only team which have lost every match.
Brazil is the current champion and most successful team of the South American U-17 Championship, winning a record fourteen titles. The Defending and current Champion Brazil defeating the hosts Colombia 4–1 on penalties following a 1–1 draw in the final.
Many Star players have already represented the tournaments. In the 2003 South American U-17 Championship, Luis Suárez and Messi represented their country. Messi was part of the Argentina Squad but didn’t play in any match due to a hectic schedule. Neymar played 2009 South American U-17 Championship.
