The Premier League leaders broke their club record to sign French defender Aymeric Laporte. Laporte, 23, has sealed his £57million switch to Man City to become the club’s record signing. Aymeric Laporte Deal is a big- money deal.
The Frenchman will earn a reported £150,000 per week after putting the new paper deal for the 5-year.
Laporte has signed a 5½ year contract to June 2023, becoming the sixteenth purchase of Guardiola’s reign.
A reference to Paris St-Germain’s £198 million signing of Neymar and Barcelona’s £142 million capture of Philippe Coutinho.

Laporte told the club’s website: “I am very happy to be here. City are a club with a lot of ambition and they are one of the best teams in Europe.
Guardiola said when asked about criticism of City’s spending. “Some clubs spend £300, £400 million on two players. We spend it on six players.
Guardiola also said he expects Leroy Sane, injured in the FA Cup fourth-round win over Cardiff, to miss six to seven weeks with ankle ligament damage.
