Football at the Southeast Asian Game

2021 Southeast Asian Games was originally scheduled to take place from 21 November to 2 December 2021 but because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the tournament was postponed from 12 May to 23 May 2022.

There are 10 teams participating in the men’s tournament which are restricted to under-23 players, The semi-finals will be played in Viet Tri and Nam Dinh, while Hanoi will host the bronze and gold medals.

Venues

There are just three stadiums for the tournament,

Ha Noi:- My Dinh National Stadium (Capacity:- 40,192)

Phu Tho:- Viet Tri Stadium (Capacity:- 16,000)

Nam Dinh:- Thien Truong Stadium (Capacity:- 30,000)

Draw

The draw for the tournament will be out on 6th April 2022. There will be 10 teams which will be seeded into 5 pots based on their performance in the previous two edition.
