The 1990 FIFA World Cup was the 14th staging of the World Cup, the world championship for men national association football teams. This was held in Mexico from 8 June to 8 July 1990(30 Days).

The 1990 world cup, the second country to host the event twice (the first being Mexico in 1986).  West Germany was won the 1990 World cup championship beat Argentina by the 1-0 score at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Their Third title by West Germany after winning the 1954 FIFA World Cup and 1974 FIFA World Cup.

The 22 (from 5 confederations) teams taking part in the final competition will be divided into 6 groups of four teams.
