Casey Stoney announces retirement joins England coaching staff

Casey Stoney announces retirement and Former captain to become part of Phil Neville’s staff. Casey Jean Stoney was a part of England National team. It has been part of Liverpool club. she has been capped more than 100 times for the England women’s national football.

Former England women captain represented the Lionesses 130 times during more than two decades as a player and will be joining England Nation Team. whose final match will be for Liverpool Ladies against Sunderland Ladies on Wednesday.

She was a part of the squad that claimed a bronze medal at the 2015 Women’s World Cup. Casey Stoney was an integral part of the England National teams which reached the UEFA Women’s Euro 2009 final. She was a member of the quarterfinals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2007.

Stoney joined Chelsea Ladies at the age of 12 and before moving to Arsenal and then Charlton. She played for 6 clubs and has a part of England and Great Britain.

I’m delighted to be joining Phil Neville’s @Lionesses’ backroom team! Weds @LFCLadies game will be my last. I’d like to thank everyone that made my dreams come true…”

She will take her position in Neville’s backroom team in time for next month’s SheBelieves Cup in America. Shebelieves Cup is an invitational women’s association football/soccer tournament. This tournament organizing every year in March in the United States.
